Parents, Players, and Coaches,
This has been a challenging and uncertain time. We at MVP are committed to finding a way to restart our season. We were given the task of helping our athletes be the best volleyball players possible. There are still obstacles for us to overcome.
USAV and OVR are announcing an update that would cancel the remainder of the season. In the update however, we are told that things could change and the policy could change as well. USAV Nationals have not been cancelled at this point. JVA and AAU have not cancelled their seasons or nationals.
We could restart with training and scrimmages without USAV sanction using the Dayton Sports Complex liability insurance. We could include neighboring clubs in this effort. If the USAV policy changes, there would be other tournaments leading to Nationals.
If Governor DeWine allows sports facilities to reopen and groups to assemble, we will again help our players chase their volleyball dreams. A mid-April restart could easily give us eight to ten weeks to fashion a season to satisfy all our goals.
We will remain optimistic, positive and prepared.
Please be safe and patient.
