CREATE AND ACTIVATE SPORTSENGINE ACCOUNT:
REGISTER ONLINE WITH USAV/SPORTSENGINE
REMEMBER
You need to register on the OVR/USAV website (click to go to site) FIRST. Primary account holder MUST be a parent/guardian. Your athlete will have a profile added to your “household” once they have a membership. You will need your USAV/OVR membership number for the Miami Valley Phoenix Registration.

24-25 TRYOUT MEMBERSHIPS WILL GO ON SALE TUESDAY, JUNE 4TH, 2024. IF YOU PLAYED FOR AN OVR CLUB DURING THE 23-24 TOURNAMENT SEASON, YOU DO NOT NEED A TRYOUT MEMBERSHIP TO ATTEND JULY, 2024 TRYOUTS. YOUR 23-24 JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP IS GOOD UNTIL AUGUST 31ST.

Click HERE (or the link above) to be directed to the registration form for MVP's tryouts. Remember you need to first register on the OVR/USAV site first. Tryout fees are $25, and payable onsite during the athlete check-in process.

MVP will be holding both SUMMER & FALL Tryouts. Fall tryouts will be held to fill positions on open teams. Tryout ages and times are listed below:

WHICH TRYOUT SHOULD I ATTEND?
All MVP teams will be selected on a basis of "Grade Level". You should attend the tryout that matches your Grade Level designation seen below. Once the team is composed, the appropriate USAV skill level registration (National/American/Regional) will be chosen. Should a team register national, all members of the team MUST meet additional birth date requirements.

OPEN GYMS
MVP will be hosting open gyms for all athletes who would like to attend prior to tryouts. Open gyms are FREE for any athlete who played for Miami Valley Phoenix last season. For any new athlete there will be a $5 charge per day. Open gym dates will be announced prior to tryouts.

What to Expect and Tryout Results
We are excited to host your athlete for tryouts! Below is a list of reminders and information about MVP tryout results.
- What are we looking for in a student athlete? Coachability, Effort, Attitude, and players that have FUN!
- Remember those shoes and knee pads! Bring plenty of water.
- Arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow plenty of time for the check-in process.
- Our tryouts are CLOSED to parents. Parents must remain in the lobby of the Dayton Sports Complex
This is a nervous time for all. Most importantly it's the athletes time to shine. We want them comfortable so they can perform their very best.
Tryout Results
MVP will make offers either IN PERSON (in the gym at the end of any tryout session) or by phone or text message. These "first-round" offers are simply the offers made for the first 10 positions on a team; we want to get these offers in your hands as soon as possible! Please remember, if you do not receive an offer onsite this does not mean you didn't make a team - we do not extend all offers onsite or on the first day, and we may end up with additional openings if players decline an offer! If a player should decline an offer would then be made to the next player in line for that position.
Tryout results will be posted on our homepage as teams are filled.

If a coach has offered your daughter a position to play for MVP, you need to click HERE or the link below to officially accept the offer!
You will need to "sign in" to the website to use to 'Acceptance Registration'. Sign in for website is your Sports Engine sign in.
DECLINE AN OFFER TO PLAY FOR MVP
If a coach has offered your daughter a position to play for MVP, but you have made the decision to play elsewhere- please finalize the tryout process and decline our offer. To decline an offer to play for MVP- please click HERE or use the link below.
